Sip, Savor, and Celebrate: First Ever Porter Palooza is Next Week!!
Move over stouts. That oh-so-delicious roasty counterpart, the PORTER, is here to party. Announcing our first-ever Porter Palooza on Saturday, Jan 13, 2024. The River North brew team has been secretly (ok, maybe not that secretly) brewing NINE different porter variants over the past year so we could tap them all at once. Now that’s a lot of porters.
Porter Palooza takes place at both taprooms on Saturday, January 13th with nine porters on tap at our Washington Street location and six on tap at our Blake Street location in RiNo. The event features two releases: the multiple-award-winning Midnight Hike chocolate imperial porter and the first canning of Barrel Aged Uptown Squirrel. This will also be our first-ever canned porter! This is your chance to say you had it first. The mellow 5.7% brown porter, Uptown Squirrel, was aged in Small-batch American Whiskey barrels from our friends at Leopold Bros. right here in Denver. 4-packs of 12 oz. cans will be available in both taprooms for $12. Other porters on tap include Twilight Hike, a coffee porter, Barrel Dark Sorceress, Hello Darkness, and some highly limited draft-only variants of Midnight Hike and Hello Darkness.
You can get a sneak peek of Porter Palooza this weekend with the release of Single Cask Hello Darkness XO, an imperial porter aged for over 20 months in Kentucky Bourbon barrels. This is the first release of the 2024 Single Cask series. Each release of our renowned Single Cask series shows off the unique character of a single oak barrel.
