2019 Whiskey Barrel Quandary

A pillar of our barrel-aged program since 2013, the venerable Whiskey Barrel Quandary only comes around once a year. This traditional Abbey-style dark strong ale – albeit with an oak and spirit twist - speaks to our roots as a brewery and is a perennial favorite for both our brewers and regulars alike.

The 2019 vintage of Whiskey Barrel Quandary debuts this Saturday, January 19th at Noon! As always, we will have this gem both on tap and in bottles to go - $10 per bottle with no limit.

Whiskey Barrel Quandary harkens back to a time when a world-class beer was about nuance and balance, revered for its layers of complexity and delicate refinement.

Traditional quadrupel notes of plum, fig, raisin and date intermingle with a kiss of charred oak and bourbon from barrels sourced right here in Colorado. Finishing with a lasting warmth, this is a beer for both traditionalists and newcomers to sip and savor.

While a limited amount of Whiskey Barrel Quandary will be available in liquor stores around the state following the release, if you want to stock up, your best bet is at the taproom! As with almost all our barrel-aged releases, this beer will age gracefully for years to come.
