#SUPERSTOUT Final Details

In advance of tomorrow’s epic celebration of that sensational sauce known as stout, we have some final details on how everything’s gonna go down. Doors open at Noon with food by Sabas Ethiopian. If you haven’t heard yet, we will be filling Crowlers of everything on tap. We only have one five-gallon keg of many of these options, so if you see you something you know you want, get here early!

Opening taplist:

Toasted Coconut Mr. Sandman: 12.1% ABV

American imperial stout with five pounds per barrel of toasted coconut. Nutty and slightly sweet.

Mayan Chocolate Mr. Sandman: 12.1% ABV

American imperial stout with habanero and ancho peppers, cinnamon, cacao and vanilla beans. Bold spice with a lingering mild heat.

Whiskey Barrel Aged Mr. Sandman: 13.2% ABV

American imperial stout aged in freshly emptied Colorado and Utah whiskey barrels for up to one year. Spirit-forward with a strong malt backbone.

Single Cask Mr. Sandman: Rum Barrel: 13.2% ABV

American imperial stout aged in a single cask formerly holding Caribbean dark rum. Rich and warming with a slight hint of molasses.

Orange Chocolate Mr. Sandman: 12.1% ABV

American imperial stout with orange peel and cocoa nibs added. A special keg whipped up solely for this event!

Chai Mr. Sandman: 12.1% ABV

American imperial stout with Chai spice added. Another special keg whipped up just for today!

2017 Barrel Aged Avarice: 11.5% ABV

Belgian-style imperial stout aged up to one year in Colorado and Utah whiskey barrels. Dry, bitter, and complex, like semi-sweet chocolate layered with oak and barrel notes.

Nightmare Fuel: 12.1% ABV

American imperial stout with three pounds per barrel of locally roasted coffee from our friends at Logan House. Heavenly and horrifying, utilizing dark roasted beans for a true java-forward brew.

Barrel Aged Nightmare Fuel: 13.3% ABV

American imperial stout with three pounds per barrel of locally roasted coffee from Logan House, aged in Colorado and Utah whiskey barrels. Dark roast, coffee, whiskey…what’s not to like?

2017 Fancy Effing Stout: 10.8% ABV

Belgian-style imperial stout aged in Manhattan cocktail barrels, which formerly held whiskey, vermouth and bitters. Herb-forward, like a beer digestif. It doesn’t get any classier than this.

2016 Decennial: Shadowman: 16.0% ABV

American superstout brewed to withstand the test of time, intended for aging up to ten years. Motor oil thick, rich and warming.

2017 Vicennial: Shadowman: 16.0% ABV

American superstout brewed to withstand the test of time, then aged in Colorado and Utah whiskey barrels up to one year. Intended for aging up to twenty years. This is the pinnacle of stout.

Anniversary Ale 1: 12.5% ABV (22 oz. bottle, recommended for sharing)

Our first birthday beer, an American imperial stout now approaching five years in the bottle. One available.

2015 Fancy Effing Stout: 11.0% ABV (22 oz. bottle, recommended for sharing)

The original batch of our Manhattan cocktail barrel aged Belgian-style imperial stout. One available.

2013 B’Side Avarice: 11.5% ABV (22 oz. bottle, recommended for sharing)

American imperial stout aged in Utah rye whiskey barrels. One available.

Legalese: 12.5% ABV

American imperial stout brewed with green and black peppercorns. Always read the fine print.

2016 Mr. Sandman (batch 1): 12.9% ABV

American imperial stout which earned top honors in a blind-ranking of imperial stouts, placing #1 in a field of 102, as judged by Paste Magazine in January 2017.

Single Cask Avarice: Colorado Whiskey: 11.7% ABV

Belgian-style imperial stout aged in a single barrel formerly holding Colorado whiskey. With the only keg long gone, this beer only exists in bottles.
