Saturday, September 30th

Inaugural Oktoberfest: We always like to throw a little pre-party for us locals before things get hectic, and this year, we’re taking it a whole new direction. Join us for the release of our first Oktoberfestbier, a traditional Märzen-style lager, and all the festivities that entails! Break out the dirndl and lederhosen, hoist new custom half-liter steins, and enjoy brats, sauerkraut and other grub from Matt’s Snack Shack. Doors open at Noon; get two pours and keep the stein for $18. In addition to the traditional Oktoberfestbier, we will have a limited amount of Citra dry-hopped Hoptoberfest on tap as well. Sport your most traditional outfit to win a free Crowler!

Tuesday, October 3rd

Fourteener Challenge: Founder and Head Brewer Matt has challenged all, crew and fans alike, to take on a fourteener and earn your beer for the week. Weather pending, he will be waiting atop Mount Bierstadt around 11am with free cans of River North White and Colorado IPA. Are you up to the task?!?

Wednesday, October 4th

Single Cask J. Marie: Port-Finished Bourbon: Up next in our series of taproom-only beers designed to showcase the beauty of a single oak barrel, this Single Cask J. Marie utilizes a former port barrel that then held bourbon, for a one-of-a-kind take on our imperial saison. As with all Single Cask releases, River Norther Society members will get one bottle reserved for pickup at any time, with the remainder available to the public when the taproom opens at 4pm. We anticipate bottling 25 cases and will also have fresh kegs on tap…watch our social feeds for info on limits.

Good Bugs Collaboration, Bottle Release @ Mr. B’s Wine & Spirits Downtown and Draft Release @ Crafty Fox: We’ve partnered with Chef Jensen Cummings of Brewed Food and Inland Island Yeast Labs as part of the Good Bugs collaboration series, featuring exclusive beers from eight of the country’s best breweries. Our contribution to the project, Cherrywood Quad, melds classic Trappist-style dark fruit esters with soft fruitwood notes. At 3pm Wednesday, join us at Mr. B’s Wine & Spirits downtown to score the first bottles of this small batch release. At 4:30pm we will head to Crafty Fox for a takeover featuring all eight beers. These will be your only chances to snag Cherrywood Quad, other than a few cases we will reserve for the taproom.

Thursday, October 5th

Decennial Series Cellar Release: Join us in the taproom as we dig deep into the cellar for 2016 vintages of our Decennial Series, brews intended to age up to ten years. We will have limited bottles and draft pours of God Complex quadrupel, Shadowman imperial stout and Father Time old ale. Doors open at 4pm; bottles will be first-come, first-served with a limit of three bottles per varietal. After Thursday, the Decennial cellar closes once again to be preserved for future verticals.

Friday, October 6th

Denver Rare Beer Tasting IX: One of the best festivals of the year, we always bring something special in support of our friends at Pints for Prostates. This year, we are bringing a sneak preview of one of our most anticipated upcoming releases, Vicennial: Shadowman. The Vicennial Series - beers intended to age up to 20 years (a vicennium) - are the bourbon barrel-aged versions of our Decennial Series. Attendees of Rare Beer will taste Vicennial: Shadowman kegged specifically for this event, and will be the first lucky few to sample this beer outside our brew team. This beast of a stout is anticipated to finish around 18% ABV. All three Vicennial beers (God Complex quadrupel, Shadowman imperial stout, and Father Time old ale) will be released at the taproom late this year.

Saturday, October 7th

Taproom Finale featuring Toasted Coconut Mr. Sandman and Mayan Chocolate Mr. Sandman: Some of you may have been lucky enough to try a taproom R&D preview of these new takes on our renowned imperial stout. Well, we are finally ready to unleash them in full! We will have…

On tap and in bottles to go (approx. 50 cases each, 4 bottle limit per variety):

Toasted Coconut Mr. Sandman

Mayan Chocolate Mr. Sandman

On tap only:

Mr. Sandman (classic)

Single Cask Mr. Sandman: Rum

Doors open at Noon with food by Sabas Ethiopian food truck…these beers will go fast!!!

Sunday, October 8th

Brewers’ Choice Cellar Beers: As the week winds down, it’s become our tradition to let our crew choose what they want to drink. We have a solid stash of limited-release beers from the past year, so come by, wind down and enjoy some rare brew.

Cheers to an awesome week!
