Pint Night with New Treks

New Treks strives to increase access to the outdoors for underprivileged groups. Through partnerships with Title 1 schools and alternative educational organizations, we teach an outdoor education course during the school day. Our students can get credit for the course, which help them towards graduation. Through lectures, hands-on activities, and mini field trips, our students learn about rock climbing, paddling, backpacking, survival skills and more! Social-emotional learning is incorporated into each lesson so our students gain skills that can help them navigate their day-to-day life. We believe that through the outdoors, our students can build resiliency and self-confidence while getting to try new activities in a safe space.
