2018 Finale - Dual Release!

To send off 2018 with a bang, we have two never-before-seen releases for you!

On Saturday, December 29th, we will debut the fourth installment in the Decennial Series - The Last Guardian, a modest bière de garde. In addition, we will round out the Single Cask releases for 2018 with Single Cask Avarice: Tequila Barrel! Both beers will be available on tap and in bottles to go when we open at Noon.

The mega-gravity Decennial Series beers are only brewed once every two years. Previously a trio, now a quartet, all four of these beers can be aged up to one decade, an exercise in how big beers develop with long-term cellaring. The Last Guardian is a 15.2% ABV French-style bière de garde, joining God Complex quadrupel, Shadowman imperial stout and Father Time old ale. Brimming with stonefruit aromas and a dry, ester-laden saison backbone, The Last Guardian may be our most quaffable Decennial to date.

Snag bottles of The Last Guardian for $12 each, with up to a full case limit. If you missed the other three Decennials earlier in the year, we will also have a limited amount of those available.

While The Last Guardian has traditional brewing roots (albeit taken to the extreme), our last release of the year is wildly exotic.

Single Cask Avarice: Tequila Barrel is our Belgian-style imperial stout aged in a sole tequila cask, hand-selected by our brewers for its superior character. Dry esters swirl with spicy agave in a beer-cocktail mashup like no other. As with all Single Cask releases, River Norther Society members will get one reserved bottle with their membership. All remaining Tequila Avarice bottles go on sale to the public when we open on the 29th at Noon – snag up to six for $12 each.

And speaking of the Single Cask program, new memberships for the 2019 River Norther Society go on sale Saturday, January 5th at Noon, in person at the taproom. Among other perks, members get one bottle reserved of six Single Cask releases throughout the year. We will be kicking off the 2019 program with Single Cask Mr. Sandman: Gin Barrel on the 5th!
