Barrel Aged Extravaganza - Final Details

It’s going down! For the first time ever, twelve barrel-aged taps, all side-by-side on May the 12th. For our Barrel Aged Extravaganza, all beers will be available to enjoy here or take home in Crowlers. Crowlers will range from $24 to $36, with no limit on any beers – doors open at Noon, so if you see something you want, get here early,,,

Without further ado, here’s our opening taplist!

Saison Conspiracy Noir (9.1% ABV) – batch date 10/3/16

Dark saison brewed with Syrah grape must, aged in a Cabernet barrel. Collaboration with Funkwerks featuring a 50/50 blend of saison yeast from each brewery.

Single Cask J. Marie: Port-Finished Whiskey (10.1% ABV) – batch date 9/28/17

Imperial saison aged in a single barrel that formerly held port, then whiskey. This barrel was hand-selected for its superior quality, and only 50 gallons were released.

2017 Whiskey Barrel J. Marie (10.2% ABV) – batch date 1/9/17

Imperial saison aged in Colorado whiskey barrels. Our original barrel-aged recipe, with striking notes of apricot and toasted coconut intermingling in a strikingly unique way.

2017 Barrel Aged Mr. Sandman (13.2% ABV) – batch date 12/8/17

American imperial stout, ranked the best in the country by Paste Magazine, aged in a blend of bourbon and Colorado whiskey barrels. The first release of this beer, with bottles long since sold out.

2017 Big City Quad (12.0% ABV) – batch date 5/5/17

Belgian-style quadrupel aged in a Manhattan cocktail barrel formerly containing rye whiskey, vermouth and bitters. These barrels have become increasingly difficult to come by, and this keg, found in a hidden corner of the cellar, is the last of its kind.

2017 Fancy Effing Stout (10.8% ABV) – batch date 5/1/17

Belgian-style imperial stout aged in Manhattan cocktail barrels. Similar to Big City Quad, these barrels have become sparse. While we do have a few kegs, this beer will not be brewed again anytime soon.

2017 Whiskey Barrel Quandary (11.1% ABV) – batch date 5/12/17

Belgian-style quadrupel aged in a blend of bourbon and Colorado whiskey barrels. Rich and warming with notes of plums, figs, raisins and dates, we have been brewing this classic since 2012.

2016 Whiskey Barrel Quandary (11.1% ABV) – batch date 7/5/16

The oldest vintage of this beer on draft, the 2016 version was aged in Utah rye and bourbon barrels. Whiskey Barrel Quandary really shines after about a year or two aging in the keg. Quite simply, this beer is in its prime.

2016 Barrel Aged Avarice (11.5% ABV) – batch date 11/11/16

Belgian-style imperial stout aged in Colorado and Utah whiskey barrels. Our original barrel-aged stout, BA Avarice is drier than most examples of the style, resulting in a quaffable, complex brew like none other.

2017 Vicennial: Barrel Aged God Complex (17.6% ABV) – batch date 11/15/17

Part of our series of super-ABV brews intended to age up to twenty years, BA God Complex is a whiskey-aged super-strength quadrupel released every two years. (Note: we do not recommend aging Crowlers long-term, but a limited quantity of wax-dipped bottles will be available for those inclined to stock up their cellar.)

2017 Vicennial: Barrel Aged Shadowman (15.7% ABV) – batch date 11/17/17

Part of our series of super-ABV brews intended to age up to twenty years, BA Shadowman is a whiskey-aged superstout released every two years. (Note: we do not recommend aging Crowlers long-term, but a limited quantity of wax-dipped bottles will be available for those inclined to stock up their cellar.)

2017 Vicennial: Barrel Aged Father Time (16.0% ABV) – batch date 11/16/17

Part of our series of super-ABV brews intended to age up to twenty years, BA Father Time is a whiskey-aged super-strength old ale release every two years. (Note: we do not recommend aging Crowlers long-term, but a limited quantity of wax-dipped bottles will be available for those inclined to stock up their cellar.)

Welp, that’s quite the opening list. Once we start kicking kegs, we may have a few other tricks up our sleeve, like 2017 Rum Barrel Quandary, Barrel Reserve 2017 or even the last keg of 2016 Barrel Aged Nightmare Fuel. For food, our friends at Farm to Truck will be joining the party as well.
