Whiskey Barrel Quandary & Barrel Reserve

A barrel-aged classic, and a blending project not seen in three years. On Saturday, May 20th, we’ll release the 2017 vintages of both Whiskey Barrel Quandary and Barrel Reserve! Drafts and bottles of both beers debut in the taproom at Noon.

This year’s release of Whiskey Barrel Quandary spent a full 18 months maturing in three different types of oak casks. With such a wide spectrum of barrel character to pull from, this is one of the most complex vintages of our barrel-aged quad to date. Rife with notes of caramelized dates and sticky toffee pudding, we’ll offer bottles at $10 each with a one case limit. In total, we bottled only 125 cases.

Barrel Reserve was a project from our early days that has been on sabbatical since the 2014 vintage. With last year’s expansion, we now have the space for a larger barrel playground, allowing us to flex those creative muscles once again. Each Barrel Reserve vintage is a blend of barrel-aged ales, with each beer hand-picked for its contribution to a larger flavor canvas. For 2017, we went dark, blending several quads and stouts aged in different whiskey and Manhattan barrels. Showcasing everything from boozy fruit to amaro and toasted oak, snag bottles at $10 each with a half-case limit…at only 75 cases, this one is quite limited.

Before spring turns to summer, we’ll also have two more releases, not counting our mixed 12-pack of cans…stay tuned for details on Single Cask Quandary: Kentucky Bourbon and the return of our one-of-a-kind oaked double witbier, Unified Theory.
